My University

 The name of my University is The University of   Visual and Performing Arts .The address of   the my university is No.21 , Albert chandrawankaya  , University of the Visual and     performing  Arts ,Colombo 07.

 My university is also known as "Kala Maha  Gedara".. there are four faculties in our   university faculty of Music, Drama , Dancing   and faculty of Visual arts.

Mr.Rohana .p.Mahaliyana arachchi is the Vice Chancellor of the my university..my university has produced many famous artists in sri lanka and abroad.

C.W.W.Kannagara

  C.W.W.Kannangara is known as the father of free educaticon of Sri Lanka.   He was born on the 13th of October 1994-in Randobe. It is a village in Balapitiya. He got his early educaion from Vaslian College at Randobe. He won ascholarship to Richmond College and he had special interest in maths.  He passed Cambridge senior examination in 1901 and became a teacher in Richmind College.                                                                                         He entered the law college and he qualified a lawyer in 1912. He was the most popular young lawyer in Galle. In 1931 he was able to become the education minister and he introduced free education to all in our country. The establishment of central schools provided high quality education to the talented children in rural areas.
